About the Artist

Cimiotti grew up in New Jersey and studied at the Art Students League in New York before he left for Paris in 1899 where he attended the Academie Julian.

Following his return to the United States, Cimiotti opened a studio in New York City in 1901. He was a member of the New York Water Color Club and exhibited with the Salmagundi Club, at the Corcoran Gallery, with the Society of American Artists, the National Academy of Design and also participated in the New York Armory Show in 1913.

Cimiotti painted in a variety of areas including New Mexico and relocated to Laguna Beach, California in 1943.
