About the Artist

Born in Colorado to a Pioneer Denver family Bancroft earned a law degree from Cornell. He practiced in Denver for four years prior to moving to Bailey, Colorado in 1914 where the self-taught artist painted on commission.

A member of the Denver Artists Guild (three time president) and the Cactus Club in Denver.
