Artist Biography - Frances Cronk (1906-1992)
Born in Coffeyville, Kansas, Frances Marian Cronk (Truby Cronk) later moved to Colorado where she studied at the Broadmoor Art Academy in Colorado Springs and the Chappell House (forerunner to the Denver Art Museum). She was also a pupil of Thomas Hart Benton and John Sloan. Cronk was a recipient of a Guggenheim Traveling Fellowship in 1934.
