Artist Biography - Thomas Whelan Benton (1930-2007)

Thomas Whelan Benton (Thomas W. Benton) was born in 1930 in Oakland, California. Following service in the Korean War, Benton studied architecture at the University of Southern California. In the early 1960s, Benton relocated to Aspen, Colorado, where he designed and built a home on Hyman Avenue.
