Artist Biography - Myron Wood (1921-1999)

Born in Oklahoma in 1921, Wood relocated to Colorado in 1947 where he worked as a photographer for the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, he later served as Assistant Curator of Photography. Wood is known for his iconic image of Georgia O'Keeffe and his photographs of the American Southwest including at Taos Pueblo, in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. His photographs have been widely published in books and magazines.
