About the Artist

A native of Wisconsin, Knapp studied at the Art Institute of Chicago.

He moved to Denver following the conclusion of WWI where he established a studio near Lawrence and 16th streets. Knapp specialized in landscapes depicting the Rocky Mountains and especially favored Grand Lake and Estes Park.
