About the Artist
A native of Sweden, Oscar Brousse Jacobson immigrated to the United States with his parents. He attended Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas and earned a degree from the institution in 1908. He later studied in Paris prior to graduation from Yale in 1916. Jacobson studied with a number of artists including fellow swede, Birger Sandzén.
