About the Artist
A native of Akron, Ohio, Mabel Emma Heimbaugh (Mabel E. Feucht, Mabel Feucht) was born in 1901. Following her marriage in 1923 to Herman Feucht, the couple relocated to Denver and initially lived at West 29th Avenue and Irving Street in Northwest Denver. She primarily painted watercolors of Colorado mountain landscapes, although she is known to also have done urban vignettes in the same medium. Her daughter, the late Miriam Ruth Miller, was also an artist active in the Mountainside Art Guild, Arvada Fine Arts Guild, Lakewood Arts Guild and the Colorado Watercolor Society.
